The Turkish Doner and Rice from Agacan blows most other takeaways out of the water in Dundee. Their browned onion fried rice is packed with flavour, and the doner meat itself is really tender, and tastes like a homemade mix blend of spices compared to what you’ll find anywhere else. Genuinely fantastic food spot, and would love to try more of their menu!

Visually stunning, busy, smoky and exciting. Oh and the food is to die for.

We had a table for 2 at Agacan booked later in the evening as this spot is incredibly popular. It had been recommended to me and for good reason, this was perfect.

The restaurant itself is very intimate and close with an open kitchen so you can see and smell absolutely everything. A light haze from the grill filled the place which was honestly not a bad thing whatsoever. The walls... Actually everything (tables, chairs and bathrooms included), was covered in amazing hand painted artwork.

The service was excellent, being attentive but also not overbearing. They were very friendly and the perfect amount of chatty.

The food was for lack of a better word, f*cking delicious. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The menu is small, but they have perfected it. The balance of savoury and salty, fresh and funky was perfect. I could honestly recommend anything from here.

The price shocked me too. 3 courses for 2 was just under £60, including drinks. I was blown away by this place. I will be back many more times. Thank you Agacan!

It’s not often I give 5 stars, but this is easily a six.

The restaurant itself is very small which gives it quite an intimate feel. The building inside and out is decorated with interesting art work.

The menu is kept relatively small focused around kebabs which keeps the food quality really high.

We were served very quickly by the friendly waitresses. I had the Karisik kebab which is made up of donner, pillic, pirzola and kofte. My girlfriend had the pillic.

All of the meat was incredible. Very well seasoned and absolutely delicious. The rice is also outstanding, the best rice I’ve ever tasted. Portions are massive too which make it good value for money, neither of us could actually finish our meal. The waitress did say they would also accommodate smaller meals (e.g. 1 kebab rather than two).

My only minor criticism, and it’s probably more of a preference thing, is that the chilli sauce seems to have some yoghurt running through it it. Given a yoghurt sauce is also served, I would have preferred to just have a pure chilli sauce.

Visited with two friends, on a busy Saturday night we booked for 8pm sitting. A Luvly welcome from staff. Ordered a bottle of white wine while looking at the menu. Starters to share of Humas, Cacik, and Feta Cheese Salad, with pitta bread, all the starters were delicious. Three mains ordered, 2 different kebabs, which came with rice and salad and a pilic special ? all our food was delicious (see photos). I got a doggy bag as I couldn't finish mine. Our visit was very njoyable, I saw the cooking area from our table and the staff work very hard. Also witnessed the end of service tidy up, the chef was very thorough in his cleaning. Highly Recommend a Visit. Hopefully, I can return very soon 🙂 🙂

It's so overrated. I got some food from here about a month ago and am still suffering from what I had. Digestive issues started after the meal and have lasted up until now. The grilled meat was covered by black remains of charcoal, which may have caused the awful symptoms in my guts, not to mention the level of hygiene of the place and the workers, which didn't seem very inviting. I definitely wouldn't visit again.
